Dionne J. Finlay, D.D.S.
President/Pediatric Dentist

Dionne J. Finlay, D.D.S. received her dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry. Following graduation, she completed a two-year residency in Pediatric Dentistry from the college.

Dr. Finlay's post-graduate training includes rotations at Bellevue and Lutheran Hospitals, NYU Medical Center and the Rose F. Kennedy Dental Center. 

Her list of honors includes the Bernard P. Tillis Award for Excellence in Dental Journalism, the NYU Alumnae Key Pin Award for Outstanding Achievement and an Outstanding Academic Achievement and Service to the Community Award from the NYU Association of Black Faculty, Administrators and Staff.

She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentists, a member of the American Dental Association, the Bronx County Dental Society, the National Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists and the American Academy of Women Dentists.

In her spare time, Dr. Finlay participates in international outreaches. She is the mother of one son, who is a graduate of NYU's College of Arts and Sciences.

Laurence Hyacinthe, D.M.D.
Pediatric Dentist

Laurence Hyacinthe, DMD, better known as Dr. Laurie, was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. After graduatingfrom the dental school at McGill University,she moved to New York City to complete a General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. During that year, she traveled to Guatemala to participate in an outreach program, where she treated mainly children, in an isolated and impoverished native village. This experience was aturning point in her career; since it was there that she first considered becoming a Pediatric Dentist.

Dr. Laurie completed her Pediatric Dental Residency at Lutheran Medical Center but instead of starting to work right away, she decided to continue her training in Dental Anesthesiology, in order to offer comprehensive dental care to her patients. She completed the two-year program at Mount Sinai Hospital.

In her spare time, Dr. Laurie enjoys traveling, learning various languages, playing volleyball, salsa dancing and kickboxing.

Lenise Yarber, D.D.S.
Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Yarber spent her childhood growing up in beautiful Anchorage, Alaska and attended high school in Federal Way, Washington. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene (BSDH) from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California (USC). She continued her education in dentistry at the USC School of Dentistry, receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery. During her studies she was the recipient of the Doctors Out To Care Award, the USC Century Award for Academic Achievement, the American Dental Hygiene Association Award for Commitment & Service and the Colgate-Palmolive Outstanding Leadership Award.

With a passion for the oral health care needs of children, Dr. Yarber completed an Advance Pediatric Dental Residency at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine's Harlem Hospital based program in New York. In 2010 she received the Harlem Hospital New York City Health and Hospital Corporation Women In History Award for Outstanding Commitment to Patient Care.

With commitment and enthusiasm for service, Dr. Yarber is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentist, American Dental Association, National Dental Association, Angel City Dental Society and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

Amilcar David, R.D.H.
Dental Hygienist

Amilcar David, RDH was born in Trinidad & Tobago but grew up in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating from high school, he was directed towards the medical field by his mother. He worked as a Dental Assistant for several years while he obtained his Associate of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Borough of Manhattan Community College and Brooklyn College respectively. He then pursued dental hygiene at New York University College of Dentistry where he received a dental hygiene degree.

At New York University College of Dentistry, he showed a keen interest in dental public health. Maintaining optimal dental health was important to him and he displayed his interests by spreading dental awareness to the public. For demonstrating his Special Interest and Achievement in Community Dentistry and Dental Public Health, he received the American Association Of Public Health Dentistry (AAPHD) national recognition award. The National Dental Trade Alliance Foundation sponsored the award.

Amilcar enjoys and loves working with children. His belief is that once you can instill good oral hygiene habits at a young age, it will last a lifetime.

Rodrell S. Brown, D.D.S

Dr. Brown was born and raised in Hephzibah, Georgia and attended Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree fromMeharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, Tennessee. After dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital where he served as a Chief Resident. Dr. Brown went on to complete his residency in Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry at Interfaith Medical Center, where he also served as a Chief Resident.

Dr. Brown enjoys watching sports, golfing and traveling. He is actively involved in several organizations including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and the National Dental Association.
