About the Orthodontist

Dr. Efstathios Giannoutsos or ”Dr. Steve” as he is commonly called, was born in Astoria, Queens. He completed his dental training at NYU College of Dentistry, where he graduated top in his class with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Upon graduation he was inducted into Omikron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the national dental honor society. He was fortunate to be accepted into NYU’s highly competitive orthodontic residency program directly out of dental school.

Dr. Steve has completed a fellowship program at the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at NYU’s Langone Medical Center and serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery.

He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Board of Orthodontics, College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, American Dental Association and Omikron Kappa Upsilon.

Dr. Steve and his wife Michaele have two daughters, Yana and Maria.
